ASHA Foundation works with children through two primary approaches. One focuses on strengthening learning within schools, while the other provides additional support through community learning centres. Alongside these approaches, we work with parents, teachers, and local communities to help children stay in school, continue learning, and move forward with confidence.

We combine school-based support, community learning, family engagement, and child wellbeing so education is not limited to classroom access alone.
We work with four government schools to strengthen foundational learning among children. This includes supporting classroom learning, working with teachers, and providing additional academic support to students who need it.
We are also working toward more inclusive classrooms where children from marginalized communities receive the attention, encouragement, and learning support they need to participate meaningfully in school.
Our community learning centres provide children with a safe and supportive place to learn after school hours. Children receive help with reading, writing, mathematics, life skills, and other structured learning activities.
The centres support a broader, holistic approach to education aligned with the spirit of the National Education Policy (NEP), helping children develop academically, socially, and personally.
A child's education depends on more than what happens at school. We engage with parents and members of marginalized communities to encourage school enrolment, regular attendance, and continued learning at home.
By building awareness and trust with families, we aim to create a stronger support system around children and reduce barriers that can interrupt their education.
Our work reaches children directly through classroom interventions, learning centres, academic support, and learning activities.
We also create indirect impact by working with teachers, parents, and community members who influence children's learning, attendance, confidence, and ability to continue their education.
Children may leave or regularly miss school because of learning gaps, family circumstances, financial pressures, lack of support, or other barriers. We work with children who are at risk of dropping out as well as children who have already disengaged from regular schooling.
Our approach focuses on identifying learning and attendance concerns, understanding barriers faced by the child and family, strengthening learning support, and encouraging a return to regular education.
Learning becomes stronger when children feel safe, cared for, and understood. We create opportunities for children to develop self-awareness, manage everyday stress, express themselves, and build healthy social connections.
We pay attention to children who may receive limited care or support at home and encourage peer connection, physical and mental wellbeing, confidence, and positive coping skills as part of their development.
We work to reduce the gap between what children need and the support they receive in school. Classroom interventions help us understand learning needs within government schools, while learning centres provide additional time and space for children who need more support.
Together, these two settings create a continuum of support: children can receive help within school and continue strengthening their learning beyond school hours. Our goal is an environment where marginalized children are not left behind because of learning gaps, social circumstances, or limited access to additional support.
